Personality on Demand

New connection form your brain with every new memory.
Each person has unique DNA, genetics, experiences, education, sensations and so on. Each encounter builds a combination of connections within the brain all of which work together to form a memory.

Memories form stereotypes or cluster of brain cell connections stored probably somewhere in the “Good to Know Cluster” in order to concoct a personality on demand for future similar encounters.

Personality May Depend Upon Level of Control

There is no logical rhyme or reason why people from such diverse backgrounds would join in common interest specifically with Skillbuilders. No one could have predicted this happenstance.
Why did our little universes collide. What’s the shared attraction?
A selfish desire to:

  • Improve Self
  • Control Fear
  • Have Fun
  • Gain Confidence
  • Public Speaking
  • Enhance Leadership Skills
  • Gain Self Esteem

Which means Toastmasters are a shallow bunch of self-absorbed neurotics.
Anyone else? Raise your hand.
It’s a fact. Self improvement is selfish, so What Kryptonite cluster of Toastmaster synapses is strong enough to compel perfectly normal yet contrary, argumentative clusters of “I beg to differ” synapses to take a rest for at least an hour and a half.
Somewhere the selfish desire for self improvement “What can Toastmasters Do For Me?” transforms into a selfless “What can I do for Toastmasters, and what can I do for the world, god, company, boss, others.”
It’s also the point when the character personality relies most on childhood training.

Next chapter: Define What to Change

Prepare your environment. Change requires control of emotional impulses.

Heads Up

Challenges to change are monumental.

Internet, Media, marketing, politics, non-profits, advertising, tv, Internet, radio, billboards, psychology, political science, think tanks and many more ALL study personality traits in order to target and exploit all weaknesses.

It’s time to study ourselves to recognize when we are targeted and how to resist.
