Joke: Bob and the Big Parrot

Bob spied a big green parrot in a pet shop window under a big sign that said “A Great Talker!”

Bob walked in the shop and asked the merchant “How much for the talking bird?

“Well,” replied the merchant, “Since he’s such a good talker, I can’t let him go for less than $100.”

“Hmm,” bob replies, that’s a but much.” Then Bob spied a miniature turkey sitting quietly in a corner cage. “How much is that little turkey?” He asked.

“That turkey sells for $500,” the shop keeper responded.

“$500!” Bob exclaims. “The parrot can talk but the turkey can’t, so why the huge price discrepancy?”

“It’s true the parrot can talk,” replies the merchant, but this a philosopher turkey.

He’s a great thinker!
