Big Boom Theory

People in our neighborhood complain that they hear super loud booms now and then.

There’s no real pattern obvious to a casual observer and no explanations offered from trusty bureaucrats paid to montitor such events.

A plethora of things can cause super loud booms.

  • A truck load shift.
  • Collisions between fast moving objects,
  • Automobile Backfires
  • Fireworks

We’ve wondered at times about causality of natural events and disasters.  Would not the extended dry spell a few years ago permanently block some underground aquifers, natural runoffs which could cause underground water to seek and create new routes?

Powerful stuff going on right under our ignorant yet entitled, privileded feet.

A great theme for one of those one-word end-of-the-world movies – Core, Tidal Wave, Volcano, Hurricane…we could call it Runoff!
