When I am thinking of a solution or answer to a problem I find I always look to the sky or ceiling whichever comes first. Looking up for the answer seems to be a universal trait of humans. Whether this trait applies to higher intelligence animals I have no clue.
Something has always bugged me about the manner of which Kamala Harris ponders questions. Has she ever looked skyward when answering a question? I’ve never seen it if she does. She usually looks down and to the left as though reading notes or reading a prompt even when there are none.
Conversley, the philosopher Jordan Peterson, always visibly looks up when thinking about an answer. Every single time.
So I queried “the Internet”
Question: Why do people look up when searching for an answer: Here’s one response:
“According to current research, we look up while thinking because the same brain structures involved in thinking evolved from pre-existing neural connections for searching visually. The same reason you move your eyes to search for a physical object may also play a role in your eye’s movements when searching for answers.
Which brings up the obvious next question. What does it mean when people look down to formulate an answer to a question.
The response:
“What Does Looking Down Mean in Body Language?
“If someone frequently looks down at the floor, chances are they’re shy or timid. It’s like they’re trying to hide away from social interactions and avoid making eye contact. This behavior is often associated with a lack of confidence and a fear of judgment from others.
Moreover, looking downwards can be a telltale sign that someone is upset or trying to hide something emotional. When faced with uncomfortable or distressing situations, people tend to avert their gaze towards the ground. It’s as if looking down helps them disconnect from the situation or avoid confronting their own emotions. This behavior suggests that the person is feeling unpleasant emotions and wants to keep them hidden from others.
I remain unchanged in my opinion that Kamala Harris is not qualified to be president of these Untied States.
Now knowing why she has this behavior serves to explain why I feel discomfort in her ability to effectively deal with powerful world leaders on my behalf.
