Walk on the Wild Side
Movies and media, commercials and color TV make us all crave the great outdoors where the country air is sweet, fresh and fragrant.
Chaos finds wicked amusement when innocent shadows of suburbia move to the country to discover steaming piles of cow dung, biting flies, pig farms, dust, pollen and smoke in the air with slimes of algae at the banks of lake and streams trampled into mud by hooves of cattle and critter trekking to and from the old watering hole.
Nightly, bands of coyotes, coywolves, raccoons, bears, pumas, bob cats, snakes, screech owls, mice, rats, spiders claim ownership of the realm and total darkness combines with deafening silence.
Soon, pitiful pleas for safety call for the slaughter of predators, closures of farms and factories, poisonings of small animals and predator birds, all which ultimately brings about an explosion of over population of people and vermin.
Chaos wonders what is evolving to fill the void our habitats create and how we are assisting in the creation of creatures who live among us invisibly.
