What Self-Image Becomes Personality?
Question: Which emotion does your inner arrow point to right now?
What is your overall mood between “Excited, Sad, Scared, Angry, Loving, Happy”?
The next question to ask yourself is what appears to be the mood of the other person or situation at hand?
Predicament: Do you alter any moods in your personality to attend to the other person or situation at hand or just go with what ever mood you feel at the moment?
First Impressions
If we assume a total stranger will not
- like,
- trust,
- appreciate
- hire
us because we are of a certain
- race,
- sex,
- religion,
- age,
What would that say about our self image?
Remember, we are talking about a total stranger.
Chaos reminds, we possess the gift of gab and our motto, ” always leave them laughing,” happens more often than not.
We love meeting total strangers and, no, we don’t go out and seek total strangers to talk to, it’s just that we take advantage of uncomfortable situations.
Among our favorite modes of vacation include train travel where humanity meets.
We also enjoy grocery stores, waiting in lines, quiet offices, libraries, pretty much everywhere good comradarie and laughter may bubble to the surface.
Standing in a grocery store checkout line is never fun, but a quick conversation with others in line makes time fly faster.
You would be surprised the amount of information shared at a check out line.

Who gets to define Personality – Them or Us?
What is personality?
- The self-image we keep to ourselves?
- The image we prefer others to know?
- Mixtures of all of the above? *See list of endless excuses
How the face of our self image projects, or appears to others in public depends upon combinations of things that can alter or affect a personality in the blink of an eye. Probably faster since the brain works in nanoseconds.
Here are a few combination of possibilities that can alter personality, or how an individual may reveal ones self to others:
List of Social Issues in Today’s Society

Whoa, did you feel that Rush?
The rush of thought, the range of enotions that just raced through the mind and body when confronted with all those hot-button issues all at once?
As social animals, humans live in fear of missing out. Good thing that trait is never exploited by predators, marketers, politicians and other snake-oil salesmen….
Fear runs in a cycle, a form of population control. There is always an urgent crisis with either or ramifications that threaten our illusion of safety and security:
- life or death,
- freedom or slavery,
- sink or swim
Just when one urgent, hysterical, life-changing, earth-shattering, mind-boggling issue gets either resolved, boring or magically vanishes from media attention another frantically hits the limelight with all the hellfire and damnation hoodehoo entourage, and it’s off we go with the masses again.
Question: If God were mean and earth were Hell, what better way to torment Earthlings than devise an Ever Lasting Mob Sparker to make sure everyone is equally miserable.
Equity & Equality
Fair share. That’s the thing, what does “fair” actually mean?
- free from bias, dishonesty, or injustice:
- a fair decision;
- a fair judge.
- legitimately sought, pursued, done, given, etc.;
- proper under the rules:
- a fair fight.
Where do humans get this notion of fairness when nature could care less about fairness?
Brain Softening
And just like riding a rollercoaster, we are back to the basics of human motivation.
Existence and safety acheived, we advance into ticky-tacky houses, all in a row, with pensions and IRA’s intact.
Social creatures that we are, the self-image we project depends upon the circumstances.
Are we are good, just, kind, pleasant, happy, easy to get along with, patient, noble, worthy of your time…? or do we have shadows, secrets of shame, private thoughts, memories, associations, influences, assumptions, prejudices, stereotypes…that might alter the perception of our personality by the shadows of others.
Maybe it is the shadow inside all of us that is the intuition which breeds fear among shadows.
The personality we assume or believe that we project is met in kind by personalities who project their own individual and personal assumption and belief upon us in return.
